Privates Harry and Nick

Harry

Schwarz was with Harry in Camp Chaffee, Arkansas in 1942. Though they are not always stationed together, Harry is featured throughout the scrapbook in various places across the country. Harry and Albert appeared to be close friends who loved to stay in touch with letters and photos.

Nick

Schwarz met Nick in Camp Chaffee, Arkansas and we see him featured and mentioned a few times throughout the scrapbook. Nick's personality was something that seemed to stand out in the scrapbook in comparison to some of the other characters.

"The three musketeers." Nick stands in the middle of the trio and has a bandage on his face as he did not see a tree coming when he worked as a lookout man in the tank. (page 2)

"Friend Nick." (page 15)

"The cooks" were Alabama, Nick, Ruter, and Walker in the Mess Sergeant truck. (page 83)
