Aug. 24- Still driving the staff sergeants tank. It is
called ‘Baldy’. That is his nickname. Was trying
to get a picture of the jeep called Jane but could
not catch up with it. They have it in headquarters
company.
Aug. 25- Bill left here Tuesday and Bud and I go
on the train thursday.
Got my Technician First Class yesterday aso that
makes me a corporal.

P.S.C. me on the porch

Aug. 28. 3:15 pm. Enroute to La. We have been
traveling twenty four hours now and it is a bit
tiresome. We did much better than I expected.
Only some of the men must ride on the flat cars
to guard the tanks. The rest of us stay in a
coach in the rear.
