The new tank crew
Staff Sgt. O’Donnell
P.S.C. Garett- Radio man
P.S.C. Lackmey- Asst. Driver
And
Cpl. Me before I had it sewn on.
Aug. 28- I got some sleep last nite but was a
bit stiff this morning.
Yesterday while I was loading my tank
someone slapped me on the back. I looked
around and who was it but Bud- He was
helping load the train next to ours. We just
had a jew minutes and he had to leave- I
think his train left before ours did.
One of them had a head on collision last
night and three were hurt- I heard they were
all of the tank crew- must get in touch with
Bud and find out if it was his train- the wreck
held us up and we are about nine hours late.
We have two kitchen cars on the train- we
just sit in out seats and they bring us the
chow.
Had a half hour walk in North Little Rock this
morning to give us a stretch.
