Sept. 14- Went to town today to get a
real bath- it cost fifty cents for three of
us- After the bath we looked all over
town for a place to eat- every place
was full and the doors locked- finally
we found a hotel and they told us if
we came back after 7 P.M. and their
guests had all eaten we could have
what was left- we did and what a
meal- chicken- pork chops- cream

tea- angel cakes with peaches and
then coffee- all for 75¢.
At the station in Newton,
