June 12Today we practiced shooting a
rifle from prone and kneeling
positions- then a little gas
mask drill- later had a
regimental review- we
marched to the drill field about
3 miles from camp. Two men
from the next company passed
out when we got there.

‘The Unknown
cow-boy’

On the way out a shower came
up and spoiled our shine and
freshly pressed uniformAfter that the sun came out

and out. Our major said we did
