May 24

May 26Yesterday morning we had a hike cross
country for 9 miles- over swamps,
fields, woods and streams. We were
mud to our knees.
Had lunch in the field- then rode back.
Last evening we had Guard Duty from 6
to 8 p.m.
After that we were on the alert squad
and had to sleep in our clothes all nite at
9 p.m. we had a trial alarm and it took
us just three minutes to fall out of bed
and run a block.
